Turkish & Mediterranean
Charcoal-grilled kebabs, warm mezze, and a menu that answers the neighborhood's hardest question: where can we eat well, tonight, without a reservation?
On Sacramento Street
Flower baskets, Edison bulbs, and a mural you can read from across the street — Presidio Kebab announces itself without fuss. Inside, the charcoal grill does the talking: kebabs, mezze, and wraps, seven days a week, no reservation required.
3277 Sacramento Street · Presidio Heights
The Restaurant
Presidio Kebab sits at the eastern end of the Sacramento Street corridor and does something the block genuinely needed: serious cooking at everyday prices, open continuously from late morning until the evening, seven days a week. No reservation, no ceremony — just a charcoal grill running all day.
The food is Turkish at its core with a broader Mediterranean reach. Kebabs come off the grill in the classic styles — chicken and lamb shish, adana, doner carved to order — alongside mezze, warm bread, and grilled whole fish. Lamb shank and lamb chops are the dishes people describe as fall-apart tender, and the mixed grill platters are built for sharing.
Vegetarians are unusually well served here: stuffed eggplant, bean dishes, falafel plates, lentil soup, mücver, and a full mezze spread. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free items are marked on the menu rather than left to guesswork. Dinner for two with drinks typically lands around $60–80.

Specials & Standing Offers
The kitchen runs straight through from late morning to close — a rarity on this stretch, and the reason it catches the 3pm crowd.
The durum and plate format is built for a fast, well-priced lunch. Order ahead online and skip the counter line.
The mezze selection widens for evening service — the way to build a long, shared table without ordering six mains.
Platters and full catering for parties and offices, arranged directly with the restaurant.
Dine-in, pickup, and delivery all run off the same menu — one of the neighborhood's most reliable takeout options.
Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes are marked on the menu, so mixed groups don't have to negotiate.
Know Before You Go
It's a walk-in room. On a busy Friday evening, order online ahead of time and pick up rather than waiting for a table.
The sharing platters are the best value on the menu and take the decision-making out of a table of four or more.
Both ends of the week close at 8:30pm rather than 9:00. Worth checking before a late walk over.
At 3277 Sacramento it sits closer to Presidio Avenue than the Spruce/Sociale block — an easy walk, but a different stretch of street.
